Bend, OR - May 2007

As part of our trip to Crater Lake, we met up with some friends in Bend and explored the Newberry Volcano area in the Deschutes National Forest. We had lunch overlooking the mountains outside of Sisters. Then we hiked in a lava cave that went back 1 mile underground. After that, we hiked around the obsidian fields left by the volcano. Very interesting and beautiful area!
